Murray Farms continues with the 2015 corn harvest after a week of daily afternoon rains kept them from harvesting. Rentz Family Farms custom harvests a field of corn. This variety was taller and had a higher ear location on the stalk. These traits were causing some of the field to lodge due to winds from the afternoon thunderstorms. They pulled off the previous field to get this one harvested before anymore went down.
The field was being harvested by a John Deere S650 combine, running with GPS guidance, followed by a 8320R pulling a KMC dump cart loading trucks.
