Case IH
Is originally an American agricultural machinery manufacturer that, in addition to machinery, also builds tractors.
Through the merger with David Brown, an English engineering company, and International Harvester IH, founded in America, Case IH was born.ย The white David Brown tractors were rechristened to Case, and with a few adjustments also ended up on the American market.
Steiger & Quadtrac
These are the heaviest tractors made by Case IH. They are articulated tractors with horsepower that ranges from 370 to 620. The caterpillar track design ensures that ground pressure is kept to a minimum and that the force can be properly transferred onto the ground.ย The large contact surface ensures there is limited slip and smearing of the top layer.
Magnum Series
There are approximately 150,000 in action worldwide. We know 3 types:
The Magnum, with 250 to 350 horsepower. These tractors are designed for large agricultural companies, contractors and earthmoving.
This type, which has been on the market for 27 years, is constantly being updated with the latest innovations.
Then, there’s the Magnum CVX with horsepower ranging from 250 to 380. The level of comfort provided by the CVX is even higher, so work can be carried out with as little physical exertion as possible.
Finally, there’s the Magnum Rowtrac, with horsepower varying between 311 and 379. The Rowtrac offers the benefit of caterpillar tracks on its rear axle, which means less rutting and good traction. The wheels on the front axle makes it is manoeuvrable on the headland.
OPTUM CVX
With horsepower ranging from 270 to 300. The Optum has only been on the market for a short period of time, and is recognisable due to its headlights, which are placed higher up.ย With a top speed of just over 30 mph, this is an ideal tractor for road transport.
Puma
This tractor has horsepower ranging from 150 to 220, and has proved itself by the number of satisfied users. A lovely mid-range tractor. In addition to the Puma, there’s the Puma CVX, with its continuously variable transmission.
