Welker Farms — This Storm Could’ve Added $100k To Our Crop!! Rain is a beautiful thing! But timely rain is even better. A half inch rain in later June would easily have added 5 bushels an acre to our wheat. Times that by 5000 spring wheat acres and then by $5 a bushel and you’ve got $125,000 worth of added crop. This doesn’t include peas, lentils, or winter wheat!
